All-Natural Farm-Raised Beef
FRESH FROM THE FARM TO YOUR FREEZER!
    As more consumers are demanding a return to natural products, we have begun offering a select group of feeder steers that are “all-natural.” To us, all-natural means we don’t give our feeder calves any antibiotics or hormones, and dyes are not used in the finished meats. We keep records for each cow and calf on the farm, so you can be assured of the provenance of each of our feeder steers.
 
    Your beef will be professionally cut and packaged, pre-frozen and ready for your freezer. Our last crop of all-natural beef rated “prime-choice,” the best possible quality. Not only will you see the difference, with your first bite, you’ll know you’re “eating good” (and healthy too)!
 
    When weaned, our all-natural feeder steers are separated from the herd and placed in a large feeder corral and barn lot that gives them ample room to exercise and have shelter. They are fed a high-quality vegetarian grain and hay diet until they reach an optimum weight of 1,100-1,200 pounds.
 
    They are then taken to the meat processor where they are hand-processed and dry-aged. A 1,000 lb. steer will yield around 465 lbs. of eating meat. Since we usually finish ours out at 1,100-1,200 lbs., you will get a bit more than this 1,000 average beef.

    Our all-natural beef is available by the eighth ($250), a quarter ($500), half ($1,000) or whole ($2,000). Since you are buying your beef “on the side” instead of just individual cuts, this means you get your steaks, roasts, ribs, etc. for almost what you would pay for ground beef per pound at the grocery! If our whole beef is $2,000 and the finish weight is 500 lbs., then you are paying on average about $4-5 per lb.
 
    A quarter beef averages (varies depending on final weight): 33 (1 lb) ground beef packages, 2 packages minute steaks, 2 packages round steaks, 4 packages of T-Bones (steaks based on 2 steaks per pkg), 1 liver package, 2 sirloin steak packages, 3 ribeye packages, 1 rump roast, 3 arm roasts, 3 chuck roasts. This will fit into a small chest freezer and is a good amount for a family of four or so. An eighth, our sampler, would fit in most refrigerator freezers if you don’t have a lot of other items in your freezer. You would receive approximately half of what the quarter averages. This is a good amount for a single person or a couple.
 
    Payment plans are available. A non-refundable deposit of $25 for an eighth (our sampler), $50 is required for a quarter, $100 for a half and $200 for a whole beef.
